Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge and Chris Stapleton Head Home For CMT

Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge and Chris Stapleton are heading back to their home towns for a new CMT special.

The three will make surprise visits as part of “CMT Hometown Heroes,” which debuts at 10 p.m. ET on March 31.

The network has partnered with Ram Trucks Ram Nation to do good projects with the stars in each town: Rucker will help remodel and redecorate the teen room at MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston, S.C., where his mother was a nurse, and perform there for patients and staff; Eldredge will help refurbish Laker Stadium, the baseball field in his native Paris, Ill., and perform at his old high school; and Stapleton will return to Paintsville, Ky., to bring new music and other upgrades the music program at his high school.

Each of the stars will be interviewed and tour the show’s viewers around their respective home towns.
