If You Drink Coffee From A Keurig, You Need To Read This
Owning a Keurig and having a cup of joe available to you instantly is every coffee lover’s dream come true!
With that being said, it may be easy to make a cup of coffee with a Keurig, but how easy is it to clean said Keurig?
An article published in Healthy Holistic Living points to a troubling reality — your Keurig may contain mold, therefore, you could be drinking mold with your coffee … extra flavor!
The reasoning behind this is simple. If you don’t empty the water from the machine, your Keurig is never given the opportunity to fully dry out. The inside of your Keurig then becomes a breeding ground for mold!
If you’d rather not drink mold with your coffee, you should clean and dry the inside of the machine once per day. If you’re concerned about mold growing inside your Keurig, you can also mix a solution of half water and half vinegar and run it through the machine, the same way you would go about making a cup of coffee. Just be sure to run a cycle of clean water through the Keurig afterward or your coffee may taste like vinegar.
