Larry K. Smith
Larry K. is a Laurinburg native. He remembers fondly family trips to Fayetteville to see his Grandmother who lived off East Mountain Drive and an Uncle who lived off Village Drive.
Larry began his radio career in his hometown while a student at Scotland High School. (Go Scots!!) He received a scholarship for the Carolina School of broadcasting from WEWO/WSTS as a junior and continued his education at Louisburg College, earning an Associates Degree in Science. He's worked in a number of area markets - from Myrtle Beach to Raleigh - over a career stretching 32 years. One of his special projects has been the creation of Larry's Kids Charity that works with the Salvation Army to help area kids.
Larry is Married to Barbi and they have three kids: Trey, Lindsay, and Hunter. They love fishing, camping and exploring the Carolinas.
