Country Represents On Most Lucrative Tours List

Sure, country music is a lot of fun. But it's also big business.

No less than four country acts are included on a top 10 list of 2016's most lucrative global tours, according to a Daily Mail chart using data supplied by Pollstar.

Ranked by per-city average box office gross, they are Eric Church (5th at $834,604), Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood (6th at $748, 456), Blake Shelton (7th at $719,365), and Carrie Underwood's own tour (8th at $713,215).

There's even bigger tour business, though. Who toped the list? That honor by far belongs to Rock's Guns N' Roses who pulled in a cool $5,004, 737 per city in 2016. Following those guys are Justin Bieber ($1,676,016), Red Hot Chili Peppers ($1,487,928) and Stevie Nicks $898,269). Maxwell & Mary J. Blige ($711,898) and Green Day ($567,586) rounded out the top 10. Time to take a second and third job, eh?
