Luke Combs Gets Very Literal With "Hurricane"

Country music is full of metaphors, but sometimes something more literal is in order.

Enter Luke Combs' new partnership with The Weather Channel and its famous on-camera storm-chaser Jim Cantore. Luke is celebrating the fact that "Hurricane" has reached No. 1 by playing three back-to-back album preview shows for fans as he preps for the June 2nd release of his album This One's For You. (See where we're going with this?) The Weather Channel and Cantore will be "tracking" the shows (of course) through an interactive experience offering fans a behind-the-scenes looks at life on the road and the shows themselves. Jim, nice and dry for a change inside The Weather Channel studios, explains what all this means below.

Luke Combs Announces 3-Show Run

Country newcomer Luke Combs drops his debut album June 2nd and his announcement on AMHQ this morning hit us like a hurricane.

"Some of my best memories of the songs off this album are playing them live at bars and clubs around the country for a rowdy crowd," Luke says through his record label. "I can't think of a better way kick off release week for this record than getting loud, playing these songs and having a beer with fans in some of my favorite cities." "Tracking Luke Combs" is live now here. The three shows will take place in Chicago (5/30), Nashville (5/31) and Asheville, NC (6/1). Try to stay dry with another listen to "Hurricane" below.
