No. 1 songs are special, but first No. 1 songs are extra special. Just ask Dylan Scott.

The Louisiana native is celebrating the chart-topping success of “My Girl” on both the Country Aircheck/Mediabase and Billboard country charts with a picture of himself with his band and crew.

“There’s a lot of people I’ll be thanking, but this group of guys are first,” he says in an Instagram post. “Countless miles and hours away from our families, nights slept in a van, some days only enough money for the dollar menu, but today boys, we have the NUMBER 1 country song in America!! Y’all have been the backbone to this whole journey and I can never thank you guys enough! #fam.”

“Growing up in Louisiana, I listened to country radio and dreamed of someday hearing myself on the Top 40 countdown,” Dylan says through his record label. “Not only was I fortunate enough to achieve that dream, but to reach No. 1 with a song that I wrote about my wife is beyond my wildest expectations.”

Dylan has definitely been a road warrior over the last few years, and if the list of his upcoming tour dates is any indication, he plans to keep it that way. Shows are set for the coming weeks in New Jersey, Ohio, New York, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and West Virginia to name a few examples. See a complete list of Dylan’s upcoming tour dates here.
