The trio's Cameron Duddy is an award-winning music video director whose saw multiple projects nab nominations at the recent 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. One was for Bruno Mars' "24K Magic" video, and Cameron counts the pop star among his friends. "I met Bruno when I was in my early 20s," the Midland member says through the group's record label. "My wife took his first publicity photos and I met him then. He's a very loyal person so he kept me on his team and was kind of the first person to ever take a chance on me for directing, which is something that I've wanted to do my whole life, just like playing music. So I've known Bruno for a long time and he's a supporter of Midland and we're all just kind of music fanatics."
Other stars who have enlisted Cameron's talents include Jennifer Lopez, Rita, Fifth Harmony and Britney Spears.
Cameron continues with his directing work, but has to make time for it between Midland's road dates. New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Colorado are all on the books in the coming weeks. The guys don't really slow down until early December. See a full list of upcoming Midland shows here.
