Thomas Rhett has a pretty important job ahead of him and it's got nothing to do with music. The "Unforgettable" singer has been tapped as one of four judges for the 2018 Miss America pageant airing this weekend (9/10) on ABC.

Joining Thomas on the panel is model/actress Molly Sims, singer Jordin Sparks and People's Jess Cagle. Country stars have a history in the role, of course, with Brett Eldredge and Cole Swindell offering their expertise in recent years. "Hopefully I can just read the question very good," Thomas said at a recent press event. "I don't know how much judging is actually involved, but I get to read some questions and get to evaluate the answers."

If Cole's experience is any indication, Thomas is sure to enjoy some newfound popularity. "I think I've gotten more texts about this than I have any of my other achievements," Cole told People ahead of his participation last year. "I like my buddies to come out to shows on weekends, but they hardly ever get to any. Yet I have had quite a few requests for this run, which we happen to end in Atlantic City [where the pageant will be held]. That's pretty funny."
