Brett Young has scored more heavy metal.

The California native was honored this week in Nashville with gold certification for his self-titled debut album; platinum certification for his debut single "Sleep Without You"; and twice-platinum certification for his hit "In Case You Didn't Know." Plaques for the three achievements were presented Saturday (9/9) during the last stop of Lady Antebellum's You Look Good World Tour.

Brett was caught off guard by the presentation, which happened during his opening set. "I'm just doing what I love, so it's cool to see this music mean something to other people too," he offered. "I'm so honored and thankful for the support of my fans, my team and country radio for making all of it possible."

Brett still has 2017 concert dates on the books. The coming weeks will find him in Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Illinois and his home state of California. Find a list of subsequent dates here.
