Grand Ole Opry To Hold Memorial Service For Troy Gentry
The Opry has announced that they will be holding a memorial service in honor of Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry.
Gentry passed away September 8 in New Jersey at the age of 50 in a helicopter crash. The crash is said to have been caused by engine trouble.
The Opry reports, “The band was planning to release an album of new music in 2018 to mark their 20th anniversary as a duo.”
The service will take place today, September 14, at 12pm EST at the Grand Ole Opry House. It will be streamed online on the Opry website.
Instead of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to either The American Red Cross for hurricane relief or T.J. Martell Foundation to aid in finding a cure for cancer.
