It’s hard enough for everyday people to eat healthy, let alone music artists who are moving from town to town every day as part of a tour. Kelsea Ballerini does her best, but doesn’t cut out the yummy stuff entirely.

“I genuinely love food, so I never want to completely cut my guilty pleasures out of my diet,” she tells People. “I believe in the power of moderation.”

If Kelsea were to put a number on good versus not so good, she opts for an 80/20 rule. “Eighty percent healthy and 20 percent giving in to cravings,” she explains.

So what’s a typical food day for Kelsea look like? People spells it out:

Omelet with 2-3 eggs, spinach, tomato and avocado
Cup of coffee

Mediterranean salad with kale, cucumbers, chickpeas, sun-dried tomatoes and balsamic dressing

Hummus and pita chips

Roasted chicken with steamed veggies

Handful of mixed berries and a glass of red wine

All told, the publication notes, Kelsea is putting back around 1,760 calories daily when she sticks to this routine. Read more in People here.
