Michael Ray loves his adopted dog Wrigley and both of ’em want to get others fired up about rescue animals.

Michael and his canine pal have launched Wrigley Cares: Helping Animals In Need, a new initiative aimed a raising money for animal shelters. Zappos For Good, which is helping with the project, will identify shelters in need near upcoming Get To You Tour stops and set up donation stations in those locales. Concert attendees can drop off supplies and receive discount codes redeemable for Michael Ray merchandise.

Items being sought in include dog and cat food, new and slightly used towels and blankets, and more. “Wrigley is a huge part of my life – she’s on the road with us and she’s there for all the major moments,” Michael says through his publicist. “She changed my life back in June and I’m hoping we can change the lives of other shelter dogs by lending a helping hand.”

Michael’s Get To You Tour visits Texas, Kentucky, Ohio and Iowa in the coming weeks. See a complete list of upcoming dates and learn more about Wrigley Cares here.
