Originally, the restrictions prohibited media agencies from asking artists about the following topics:
- The Mass Shooting in Las Vegas
- Anything to do with guns
- Politics
However, after the news surfaced, several country artists took to social media to voice their disapproval -- including long-time co-host Brad Paisley.
According to News 13 Now, The Country Music Association released a press release on Friday that lifted the restrictions.
The CMA Awards will air tomorrow evening on the ABC Network.
