Sad news to report, as Ronnie Prophet has died at the age of 80.

It is believed he died from natural causes. According to Rare Country, a press release cited cardiac and kidney failure as the cause of death.

Prophet was a member of the Canadian Country Hall Of Fame, and was considered one of the most talented Canadian country artists to ever sing in their nation.

During his career, 23 of his singles landed on the charts. Additionally, he produced around 30 albums over his 60 years of singing.

Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
