Love animals? Here are 10 of, in our opinion, some of the best pet-related films of all time. Some are family-friendly while others are just for adults!

1. Milo and Otis

Two unusual friends, a cat and a dog, find themselves separated from their families after being too curious. This is a cute family friendly film that is perfect for kids of all ages. It may make you even tear up at some parts…so bring your tissues!

2. Homeward Bound

Two dogs and a cat escape from their ranch in California in order to find their owners. Their journey will warm your heart and make you want to snuggle up to your furry best friend.

3. Finding Nemo

We are sure that most of you reading this list have already seen this movie. If not, where have you been for the last fourteen years?! Just like the first two movies on this list, Finding Nemo will take you on a journey all the way to Sydney, Australia! From the hilarious one-liners to Ellen DeGeneres’ voice, we cannot get enough of this movie!

4. Stuart Little

Based on the children’s novel by E.B. White, Stuart Little follows a family who adopts a young mouse. The movie has a long list of A-list celebrities, including Hugh Laurie, Geena Davis, Michael J. Fox, and Nathan Lane. Both parents and children will appreciate this classic tale.

5. Babe

Here is definitely another film that will make you cry! A pig is raised by sheepdogs after being rescued from being eaten at Christmas dinner. You may want to become a vegetarian after watching this film!

6. Keanu

This movie is essentially a spoof of the movie on the list below. Two men go on a hilarious journey in order to find their adopted kitten. Perfect movie to watch if you need a good laugh.

7. John Wick

A man goes on a killing spree because a group of thugs killed his dog. It may sound insane, but would not be too far off if something like that happened to us. Love the first one? Continue the journey with the sequel!

8. Gorillas in the Mist

The true story of Dian Fossey, a scientist who traveled to Africa to save the vanishing mountain gorilla population. You will certainly fall in love with her story and passion for these beautiful creatures.

9. Hachi: A Dog’s Tale

Starring Richard Gere, this movie follows a college professor as he adopts an abandoned dog. Yes, we are already crying while reading the movie synopsis.

10. War Horse

We are sure you have heard of this film. This 2011 Oscar winner follows the story of a young man who is enlisted in World War I because his horse is sold into the calvary.
