It's no secret that Prince William and wife Kate try to live a normal life, but it might come as a surprise to you to learn Prince George doesn't know he is in line for the throne.

According to the Daily Star, Prince William recalls feeling intense pressure growing up and having to embrace his royal status.

Now, as Prince George's fifth birthday nears, as far as he and his parents are concerned, he's a normal little boy.

Of course, his parents realize that one day they will have to sit their son down and explain his status and his future responsibilities, but in the meantime, they want him to have a normal childhood.

We think Prince George's parents are doing the right thing, after all, how can an almost five-year-old really understand the magnitude of being in line for the throne?

What do you think? If you were royalty, would you shield your children from this realization until they were old enough to understand what it entailed?
