A pregnant teen was shot and killed inside a home in High Point, North Carolina.

The 18-year-old, identified as Anastaista Ray, suffered a bullet wound to the head.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, Police in High Point responded to a residence on Monday evening, amid reports of gunshots.

When they arrived on scene, they found Ray and a 32-year-old male suffering from bullet wounds.

Both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital. Sadly, the teen and her unborn baby were pronounced dead a short time later.

Neighbors told officers they witnessed a vehicle fire several shots into the home from the street.

At this time, the suspects remain on the loose.

Police are still investigating.
