A fire broke out at a home in Fayetteville this evening, claiming two lives.

According to WRAL, dispatchers received a call for help around 7:30 p.m. regarding a fire at a home on Lake Club Drive.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw black smoke coming from the roof of the home.

Once inside, they found two deceased individuals.

At this time, the names of the victims have not been released.

It’s also too early to determine if the fire is related to Florence.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently on hold due to the tropical storm.

The Fire Marshal will not be able to determine what caused the fire until the structure is secure and Florence moves out of the area.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates as they become available.
