Apparently, when Luke Bryan comes to town, school closes.

While many residents in North Augusta, South Carolina, thought the school closing was a joke, the Edgefield County district has decided to cancel classes on October 5.

The country star is slated to perform at Misty Morning Farms that Friday, and school officials have opted to close schools for the day.

The decision was made based on potential road closures and traffic delays.

Past the initial shock of a school closure due to a concert, parents were also slightly irritated about when the missed day will be made up.

Students will now have a full day on December 14 instead of a planned half day, in addition to a half day on December 17 -- A day they initially had off.

One Facebook user was so upset about the district's decision, she told Luke he should host a concert at another location.

Alrighty then ...

How would you feel if your child's school was closed due to a concert coming to town?
