Saturday Night Live is responsible for some of the most popular characters in comedy history, and sometimes those characters are SO popular, they're taken from television to the silver screen.

There have been a number of films released based on SNL characters.  Some have been massive hits, and some...well...let's just say they didn't fare too well at the box office.
