A NASCAR driver took to Twitter earlier to share disappointing news with fans.
Earlier in the season, Kasey Kahne revealed that he would retire at the end of the season — Citing medical issues as the culprit.
In truth, racing has taken its toll on Kahne’s body, and he knew it was time to step away from full time racing.
But, Kahne had every intention to finish out the season before retirement.
Unfortunately, Kahne was not medically cleared to race and has thus decided to end his NASCAR career effective immediately.
In his statement, he revealed that while he is retiring from NASCAR, he hopes to get back into a sprint car soon.
