What a day, what a day. There I was yesterday, slaving over a hot microphone at The BIG 957 when I noticed my cell phone light up. On the display was the name of my Bride Debbie. It was around 11:15am and I assumed she was on her lunch break. As usual I answered, "hello beautiful." It was not
Debbie who answered back. Say what? It was her office manager. In an instant, I found myself up out of my chair, grabbing my Beasley Media backpack and heading for the elevator. I was thinking, due to the fact that her manager was on the phone, was probably not good news. Debbie fell and dislocated two fingers, bruised both knees and busted her lip. Thank goodness, she is okay. But looking back, just for a few seconds, when I heard someone else on my wife's phone, my breath just went away. I am sure you can relate. I am so thankful that I can breathe easily now. We just never know when life is going to get in the way. Let me also say that Debbie received outstanding care at Cape Fear Valley.
