WKML HOLIDAYS: Sarah’s Chocolate Crinkles Recipe
If you love chocolate, Christmas, and eating too much around the holidays, you’re going to love this recipe!
There are few things I love more than making Christmas cookies during the holiday season! Growing up, we always helped mom bake while listening to Christmas music or having a Christmas movie on in the background. I still continue that tradition on my own.
Chocolate Crinkles are up there with some of my favorite cookies ever! And bonus, they are great to make just about any time of year! Enjoy!
Chocolate Crinkles
½ cup vegetable oil
4 squares (4oz.) unsweetened chocolate melted
2 cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
Mix oil, melted chocolate and granulated sugar. Blend in one egg at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla. Stir baking powder and salt into oil mixture. Stir in flour gradually. Chill dough several hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop teaspoon of dough in confectioner’s sugar. Roll in sugar and shape into balls. Place about 2” apart on greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Do not over bake!
