WKML Holidays What Would You Do Wednesday: Puppy or Not

Dear Don Chase & Sarah:
My six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter are begging my wife and I to get them a puppy for Christmas. My wife thinks it's a great idea and will teach our kids responsibility. I disagree. I think the kids are too young for a puppy and won't walk it like they're promising. I think my wife and I will end up having to care for the dog. Can you ask other families what they think? Is it a good idea to get a puppy for Christmas? Am I going to be the one walking it at 3 a.m.? I'd love to hear what other families say.
