Don Chase and Sarah

Weekdays 6:00am-10am

Love is in the air, as Cupid draws back his bow in the month of February. The WKML team is feeling the love and is ready to share our favorite love songs to help keep you inspired this month. Make sure to share these though, otherwise you’ll find that sleeping on the couch is in the cards for March.

SARAH WEAVER
Don Chase & Sarah in the Morning
6 a.m. – 10 a.m.

1. AARON LEWIS – “TANGLED UP IN YOU”

Kid Rock inspired this one time Staind frontman to turn to country music. His gravely voice and recognition of his personal vices emit a beautiful vulnerability. The simple guitar and harmonies add to the many reasons this is one of my current favorites.

2. ZAC BROWN BAND – “FREE”

What is it about the magic of the Zac Brown Band? Even non-country music fans love ZBB! They’ve got the special touch when it comes to blending a feeling with perfect musicality. Free feels just that! Free! And plays into the notion that all you need is each other.

3. RUNAWAY JUNE – “WILD WEST”

I was introduced to Runaway June back at our 2016 WKML Stars & Guitars show. Not only are they 3 of the sweetest women in country music, but they are seriously talented! I wish this song was a bigger hit for them nationally, but it was a HUGE hit in my car every day!

4. TIM MCGRAW and FAITH HILL “IT’S YOUR LOVE”

Mom and Dad! Country music royalty! Couples goals! Whatever you want to call them, Tim & Faith are pure love and pure talent! “Better than I was/More than I am/And all of this happened/By taking your hand” I mean come on! Swoon! I’ll be over here fanning myself!

5. BRETT ELDREDGE – “LOVE SOMEONE”

Brett knows how to take a love song and spin it around to make it fun and available for everyone! Love Someone captures the overwhelming happy butterflies you get with your partner. This feel-good song will make you want to smile and dance! It sure feels good to love someone!
