-The Fayetteville Public Works Commission will hold its 5th Annual Power and Water Conservation Expo on March 23 in downtown Fayetteville. The event is free and open to the public and will provide energy and water conservation tips as well as other information about PWC utility services, including Time-Of-Use Electric Rates that begin in May for PWC customers.

-The Fayetteville Police Department will once again be joining agencies across the state for Operation Medicine Drop on Saturday, March 23, 2019 to encourage citizens to drop off unused, expired, or unneeded medications so they may be safely disposed of.
-Drop off over-the-counter drugs, prescriptions, samples, and pet medications with no questions asked.

-The third annual #BraveNation Powwow and Gathering is scheduled for March 23 in the gym of the English E. Jones Athletic Center at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Grand entry is at noon; doors open to the public at 10 a.m. The event features competition dancing, vendors and recruitment activities for American Indian high school students.

-Tickets are on sale for the third annual Fayetteville’s Ultimate Lip Sync Showdown, March 23 at the Crown Center Ballroom. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7. Proceeds benefit the Child Advocacy Center. Local “celebrities” will battle it out for the title of Fayetteville’s Ultimate Lip Sync Star. Audience participation will determine the winner of the People’s Choice award. Tickets are available online at capefeartix.com or at the Crown box office.
