Cam’s New Song “La Marcheuse” Has Us Feeling French
WKML listeners may remember country chanteuse Cam from our Stars & Guitars show in 2018. Well the “Burning House” singer is back with a song we can’t seem to stop putting on repeat here in the office.
Check out the French-language “La Marcheuse” below. While it’s not likely to get much in the way of radio play – for obvious reasons you’ll hear below – we’re loving having one of our favorite voices in country music back. “La Marcheuse” is a cover of a song by Christine & The Queens that Cam says she absolutely loves, and it just fits her beautiful voice perfectly. Take a listen below, and then we’ll post the Google translation of the lyrics too. Something tells me they make way more sense if you know the language!
I’m going to walk for a very long time
I’m going to find the fists that withdraw
I’m goinng to search shamelessly
The hits taken at me
Easy violence
I’m going to walk all the time
And I’m going to force the aggressive looks
I always go in front
I’m waiting to find
Easy violence
It’s Christmas in May, I haven’t drunk anything
Bottom of the building, you’ve seen nothing
When I approach furiously
All wound up, pale lips
Attract me to the birds
The blood dried on my skin
The people smile out of fear that
My boxer’s illness readies itself
I’m going to walk for a very long time
I’m going to find the fists that withdraw
I’m goinng to search shamelessly
The hits taken at me
Easy violence
I’m going to walk all the time
And I’m going to force the aggressive looks
I always go in front
I’m waiting to find
Easy violence
It’s clear idea that I’m waiting for
A mallow appears on the temple
The solitude is perfect, when it hits there is
Nobody crying
Fever in morning, a new air
I made myself, I’m doing to unmake myself
Ah the wound, it’s nothing, I’ve known worse
I’ve known shame
I’m going to walk for a very long time
I’m going to find the fists that withdraw
I’m goinng to search shamelessly
The hits taken at me
Easy violence
I’m going to walk all the time
And I’m going to force the aggressive looks
I always go in front
I’m waiting to find
Easy violence
