The National Weather Service has upgraded the Tropical Storm Watch for our listening area to a Tropical Storm Warning.
A Tropical Storm Warning means that Tropical Storm force winds are expected in our area in the next 36 hours.
Additionally, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for our listening area as well.
12:35 PM: We have replaced the Tropical Storm Watches with Tropical Storm Warnings and have added Franklin and Wake counties to the TS Warning area. Flash Flood Watches are also in effect from Thursday until Friday afternoon from Raleigh south and east. #ncwx #HurricaneDorian pic.twitter.com/fmspVgz6cC
