Lauren Alaina is set to grace the Crown Coliseum stage for Stars & Guitars this November 18 (tickets still on sale here, but selling out FAST…no, REALLY!), but until then she’s got another stage to take on.
According to Gold Derby, Alaina is currently the favorite to win the Mirrorball Trophy this time around. As Gold Derby points out, singers frequently hold the edge in the competition, “because dance requires musicality and rhythm, and that’s, of course, what musicians do for a living.”
Alaina and the cast kick off the season tonight, with the live season debut at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Hope I don’t drop the ball tomorrow! ;) Can’t wait to be on #DWTS tomorrow at 8|7c on ABC! Who's ready to see me dance?! ???? pic.twitter.com/isl4tCGVJq

Alaina is of course not the first “American Idol” alum to grace the stage of “Dancing With the Stars”, as Kellie Pickler was the Season 16 champion.
Last year’s surprise champion, popular country radio host Bobby Bones, has given Lauren plenty of advice. He told One Country, “She is struggling. She is very emotional. But she’s going to be great. She is just so lovable.”
