The debut album by the Highwomen — the supergroup featuring Maren Morris, Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby and Amanda Shires — debuted on top of the Billboard Country album chart in its first week of release.
Maren posted to Instagram, “Welp, I guess this is really for real, ladies. 4 voices in unison, no one over the other in the mix, no one further upstage or whose spotlight is brighter… EQUALS. And now we’re No. 1 in Country.”
Brandy Carlile posted herself saying, “It’s official: The Highwomen have a #1 country album!!”
