Michael Hardy is just a regular guy all about small-town life. But his story radiates his ability to make it big time!
Hardy graduated with a degree in songwriting from Middle Tennessee State University. You know, the same school attended by Chris Young, Brett Eldredge, and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott! And amazingly enough, Hardy was lucky enough to meet Florida Georgia Line in a parking lot right before they released their mega hit “Cruise”. The rest, as they say, is pretty much history.
Hardy is not only a songwriter, but he is a HIT songwriter! He helped pen some of your favorites like Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country”, FGL’s “Simple” and “Talk You Out Of It”, Chris Lane’s “I Don’t Know About You”, and Morgan Wallen’s “Up Down”. And now Hardy is transitioning from songwriter to artist. His debut single “Rednecker” can be heard on WKML, and his album HIXTAPE vol.1 (which is full of collaborations with your favorite artists) is available now!
This is exactly why I’m freaking out about Hardy coming to this year’s Stars & Guitars! Not only do he and Morgan Wallen already know each other and work together, but he’s got the writer mentality! He may just be the guy to jump on another artist’s song in the middle of the show, add a harmony, or even ad-lib right on the spot!
THAT is what makes Stars & Guitars so special. Each artist individually is amazing. But their interactions together, the “jam session” feeling, the improvisation make this show stand out above and beyond what you can get anywhere else! And trust me, Hardy is one to watch!
