Brett Young was the next superstar artist for our Mini Concerts performing In Case You Didn’t Know, Here Tonight, and more. Brett shared how much he’s missing all of you and we got the inside scoop on new music!
“In these extremely difficult and unprecedented times, I just want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones, for health and safety and that we will be together again soon. All my love.”
In Case You Didn’t Know was the second song from Brett’s first album and he’s honored that this will probably be his career song. “It’s a love song, and I think it’s one of those ones that we wrote, hoping it would be everyone’s love song and it seems to have worked out that way and we feel so fortunate to have been in the room, to be a part of this song, we are so glad you guys love it.”
Brett wrote Here Tonight with Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, they wanted to create an anthemic, uplifting, up tempo song . “We were out on the Lady Antebellum Tour with Kelsea Ballerini and I had brought some writers out hoping to write my second record and Charles approached us in catering at lunchtime one day and said “Y’all writing? I want to write.”
Brett has be recording a ton and can’t wait to share this next project with everyone. “We have some new music coming out, without spoiling it or giving away too much, I’ll just say this, if you have been to the Chapters Tour, the current tour that we’re on, you’ve heard a song that we are closing the show with, that I wrote about my daughter.”
“You know, we’ve gotta to find any way we can to share music right now, and I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your time and your support of country music. It’s been such a blessing to get to do this like I’ve said. I miss your faces. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you soon. ”
