A boy in Utah wouldn’t take no for an answer on Monday, when his mother said she wasn’t going to buy him a Lamborghini, so he took matters into his own hands. The 5-year-old stole his mother’s SUV, and with $3 in his pocket, headed out for California to buy his own.

Fortunately, Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Rick Morgan saw the boy driving around 30 mph on Interstate 15 in Ogden, Utah and pulled him over.

“How old are you? You’re 5 years old? Wow. OK. Where did you learn how to drive a car?” Trooper Morgan is heard saying in dash cam video. (WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW)

Morgan reached into the vehicle after the child – somewhat surprisingly – effectively pulled over on the left shoulder of the freeway, put the car in park and took the keys before returning to his car.

After getting some information from the boy, including his name, Trooper Morgan tried to help him make a call to his mom, but he did not know his number.

“Where are you gonna go? Where are you driving to?” Morgan asked. “California? Wow. Ok. You just stay right there for a second ok?”
