Actor Fred Willard who’s known for his roles in productions like Fernwood 2 Night and Everybody Loves Raymond has died at 86-years-old, as The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Michael Eisenstadt, Willard’s agent confirmed the comedic actor’s death. However, no details were immediately available.
Fred Willard also portrayed the character of station director Ed Harken in the two Anchorman films as well the voice of Shelby Forthright in WALL-E (2008).
Willard garnered Emmy nominations in three consecutive years for playing the character of Hank MacDougall, Brad Garrett’s father-in-law Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond.
Fred Willard also recently garnered the role of Frank Dunphy, father of Ty Burrell’s Phil, on Modern Family.
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis tweeted about his death earlier today: Willard co-starred in a number of films directed by Curtis’s husband, Christopher Guest, including Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, For Your Consideration and A Mighty Wind.
