Dan + Shay: ‘Racism Because Of Someone’s Skin Color Is Wrong’
Dan + Shay took to their social medal accounts on Sunday (5/31) after witnessing the unrest in the country over the recent police killing of George Floyd.
They posted a lengthy message to fans urging then to “use your voice” and help make a positive change in America during this precarious time in our history.
Dan + Shay posted in part referring to the death of Floyd, “This is not the first time this has happened, but by God, please let it be the last. We, as humans, MUST come together to make a change. Racism and discrimination because of someone’s skin color is just simply WRONG.”
They added, “We must educate our children and instill values of love and equality. We are all born innocent, and racism is something that is learned. Let’s work together, NOW, to make a change. Please use your voice.”
