Dan +Shay’s Dan Symers shared a video on his socials today, where he discussed the duo having to move their 2020 tour to 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said in the video, “The reason why we haven’t canceled our tour until now it because we have been holding on to the hope that something might shift and might change and that we might actually be able to make these shows happen but unfortunately as of now it doesn’t look like it’s gonna be possible.”
Dan also noted that they haven’t got the reschuled dates confirmed yet, but will let fans know the moment they do.
Symers wrote on his Instagram post, “i was on the verge of tears making the video and forgot to say this, but: the reason we postponed instead of flat out cancelling is because we know so many of you worked hard to get the seats you wanted, and we didn’t want you to lose them. i remember the feeling of falling in love with bands, finding out they were coming to pittsburgh, and refreshing a ticket link a million times when they went on sale just to get floor seats or close to the stage.”
He added, “we never want to rob anyone of that magic.”
