The City of Fayetteville will hold a food collection drive Saturday, July 11 at Manna Church in Fayetteville.

From the City of Fayetteville Regarding Food Drive:

The Fayetteville City Council and staff will host a food drive on Saturday, July 11, 2020. The goal is to help those in need during this uniquely challenging time as so many communities deal with the Coronavirus pandemic. People are encouraged to drop off food items at the parking lot at Manna Church at 5117 Cliffdale Road. (Note the location was changed from the one mentioned in the Facebook video below. Manna Church is the correct location.) The City of Fayetteville food drive hours are 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on July 11. Recommended food donations are listed below. Donations will go to a local food bank for distribution.

Members of the Fayetteville City Council’s Homeless and Poverty Recovery committee participated in the planning for this food drive. “We live in a generous community and this is an opportunity to show our concern for those who are hungry.  Any of us, at any age, could end up needing a helping hand. This is a one-stop opportunity to give, hopefully one good deed leads to another,” Council Member Larry O. Wright, Sr. said. The City is joining with Manna Church and AsONE Fellowship, Inc. to execute this event.
