As of Monday morning, Tropical Storm Isaias was picking up speed off the coast of Georgia and heading for an expecting for an expected landfall near the border of North Carolina and South Carolina sometime late Monday night.
Because of increased speed, Isaias may not have enough time to restrengthen to hurricane status before landfall, but impacts are expected to be strong regardless. Most of Southeastern North Carolina is under a Tropical Storm Warning, and wind and rain is already moving into the area, according to the National Weather Service Raleigh.

Several stores around the area are closing early in anticipation of the storm, including Walmart in Hope Mills.
