WATCH: Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani’s Funny Super Bowl Commercial
The Super Bowl ad for T-Mobile featuring Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine was a highlight of yesterday’s game. It tried to explain how a spotty cellular network led to an odd dating match up.
Gwen starts out on the phone talking to her friend Adam Levine when she says, “Hey Adam. I think I’m ready to start dating again. I’m sick of L.A. guys. I want someone completely different. Maybe someone from another country, and someone cultured, sensitive, and who is not threatened by a strong, confident woman.”
On a weak phone signal Levine is left hearing her say, “I’m sick of L.A. guys, I want someone completely country. Uncultured and threatened by a strong confident woman.”
Meanwhile Blake walks up to Adam at a restaurant carrying an armful of wings and nachos and Levine assures Stefani, “I have your guy.”
Cut to their first date: Stefani is shocked when Shelton shows up at a fancy restaurant, dressed in Oklahoma casual and even sporting spurs on his feet. “Did you ride a horse here?” asks Stefani. “Yeah,” replies Shelton. “Want a ride home?”
