King of the Hill

King of the Hill could be the latest series set for a reboot.

Per TechRadar.com, writer Brent Forrester said in a recent Reddit AMA, “I am sure [creators] Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but… HELL YES. They are in hot negotiations to bring back ‘King of the Hill.’ The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay, I’ve said too much.”

King of the Hill ran for 13 seasons and racked up 259 episodes from 1997 to 2009 on Fox. The series has some syndication deals with reruns airing on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and Comedy Central within the past decade. Currently, the entire series is available for streaming on Hulu.

If King of the Hill gets the green light for a reboot, it would be the second Mike Judge series to do so. Just last month, it was announced a new Beavis and Butt-Head movie would be one of many reboots on deck at streaming service Paramount+. The news was confirmed in the clip below that shows everyone’s favorite metalheads taking part in a laugh-out-loud funny faux Zoom call.
