Garth Brooks Will Play Cheyenne’s ‘Frontier Days’ in July 2021
Garth Brooks will play a show at the 2021 “Cheyenne Frontier Days.” The last time Garth played the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo it was 1996, it was his third appearance at the event and he marked the event’s 100th anniversary. His set even included a guest appearance by rodeo legend and country music entertainer Chris LeDoux, who’ll be honored at this year’s event.
In fact, Frontier Days 2021 is dedicated to Chris, and a bronze statue of him will be dedicated the day of Garth’s show which was just confirmed for the July (no date set yet) kickoff of the 125th annual Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo.
Brooks said on his weekly Facebook show, “The 100th anniversary of Cheyenne…six years from the first record…everything was going our way. When I came out in Cheyenne, that place went to a level like ‘Oh my gosh!’ I’m having a great time singing and playing. And Chris LeDoux walks out onstage. It went to a level that I had never seen before and never seen since.”
Garth added, “He (Chris) was there because we thought we were going to have Allie and thought I [might’ve] had to fly home for the baby being born. He brought his gear, brought all the guys…and was going to sit in for us in case it happened. And, I said, ‘Well, since you’re not coming out there, will you come out on that and sing.’ They loved him. They worshiped him. They should.”
Garth’s 2021 tour schedule currently includes three Stadium Tour stops, in addition to Frontier Days.
