Scotty McCreery won’t be here for Stars & Guitars until November 15 (get your tickets here now **cough, cough**), but he does have a new album coming out soon! And to help keep his anxious fans happy, Scotty just released one of the singles from the album – “Damn Strait.”

If you listened to our February “Hearts & Strings” streaming concert event, Scotty gave us a tease of the song back then.

It’s a powerful heartbreak song filled with references to one of Scotty’s idols, George Strait. The first line of the song, in fact, immediately helps get you in the mood: “Nobody in his right mind would’ve left her.” From there, it’s a nostalgic journey through Strait’s songs, and Scotty’s (obviously fictional) heartbreak.

The new album, “Same Truck,” comes out on September 17. Pre-orders are available on Scotty’s site.
