Lady A's Charles Kelley took to Instagram over the weekend to voice his thanks to fans and friends for their "encouragement" in supporting his journey to sobriety that forced his band to cancel their summer tour dates.
Charles posted a photo of himself, his wife, and son, Ward, on the beach smiling. He captioned the image, "I want to thank everyone who has shown me so much support and encouragement so far on my journey of sobriety. Y'alls kind words have meant the world to me and really lifted me up over the past few weeks. I can't wait to get back on the road with Lady A next year. Getting on that stage and being able to see, hear and feel everything through a clearer lens is going to be a gift that I won't take for granted."
He added, "I'm grateful for this time to focus on my family and my health. Love, Charles."
Several players in his country music family commented on the post, including his bandmate Hillary who said, "Love you!"
Tyler Hubbard commented, "Proud of you, dude. Not to mention, you're about to get shredded. Lol." Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild wrote," Love you, Charles!!!"
