Blake Shelton could not keep the secret of who his advisor will be this season on NBC's The Voice, so he posted to Twitter that his newest advisor will be "Best Shot" singer and 2022 ACM Awards show host Jimmie Allen.
Blake wrote along with a photo of the two of them on the NBC set of The Voice, "I couldn't keep it a secret any longer... Welcome to #TeamBlake, @JimmieAllen !!! #TheVoice @NBCTheVoice."
Fans are pretty happy with the news as one fan commented, "Talented, handsome Kings."
Shelton posted a teaser with clues to who the new advisor would be on his Instagram yesterday (8/16), writing, "I could tell you my Battle Advisor… but what fun would that be??? #TheVoice #TeamBlake."
The nominees for the 2022 ACM Male Artist of the year honor are Jimmie Allen, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs.
Morgan and Jimmie have never taken home this honor and it's the first nomination in this category for both of them.
Luke won the award in 2019, Thomas won it in 2016, 2018, and 2020 and Chris Stapleton took it home in 2015 and then again in 2017.
Previous winners of the honor include superstars Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, and Keith Urban.
The 2022 ACM Awards will be streamed live on March 7, 2022, on Prime Video. The show is hosted by Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen, and Gabby Barrett.
