Cotton candy, tilt-a-whirls and overpriced stuffed animals, it's time for the County Fair - which also means it's time for extreme fair foods!

This year's Cumberland County Fair is coming to the Crown Complex September 2-11, and while the rides are fun and the carnies a blast, the real allure is the Fair Food.

Fair food has evolved from days of yore away from the simple pie contests to deep fried masterpieces, that people look forward to all year long.

This year's highly anticipated fair food concoction is the Dilly Dog. A hotdog immersed in a giant dill pickle, dipped in corn batter and fried to perfection. It's the marriage of all good things and I can't wait to try one slathered in mustard.
