Kelsea Ballerini appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week to talk about her new Subject To Change album, and the two discussed the collaboration they did together along with Carly Pearce called "You're Drunk, Go Home." Kelly admits she was a bit drunk when she laid down her vocals.

Clarkson laughs and says, "I can't actually tell that story on TV, but it's quite a funny recording day for me." Kelsea explained, "I asked Kelly to be a part of my song in the morning, and she went to the studio that night and did vocals." Kelly says, "You know what? I'm gonna give you a little bit of it. So, it's my last day of work; I have told Tricia, my assistant, and my group, I'm like, 'I can't do anything the day you texted me.' I had literally been like, 'This has to be my last day, then I am off like I promised myself this summer.' You're like, 'Oh, I've got this song,' and I'm like, 'Oh, I love Kelsea, let me just listen to it,' and I'm like, 'Oh, I have to do this.'"

Clarkson continued, "Well, I had already been celebrating that it was my last day of work, okay? So, I get to the studio here at this studio with Jason (producer), and I get in there, and I'm like, look, I didn't know I was going to be singing today. I didn't know, so I had to sing a song called 'You're Drunk, Go Home' inebriated, trying to sing the soprano parts like I'm fine. There is an actual full track we have to send to you of me just crying and laughing so hard I almost peed my pants. This has never happened to me in twenty years. I've never ever been inebriated while singing something, and I am while singing, 'You're drunk, go home.'" The crowd applauds, and she adds, "It's a great song; it's a great song."

Ballerini adds, "There is one part on the song where it's like an ad-lib track, and now you're gonna hear it, and now you're gonna know, you just hear Kelly go, 'um, bye.' And it's in there, and it's cranked. So, thank you for that."

Kelly laughs, "You're welcome."

Kelsea Ballerini celebrates her 29th birthday today (9/12). While she is currently going through some challenging life changes (she recently filed for divorce from her husband of five years, Morgan Evans), she is also going through an exciting time in her career. She recently made headlines wearing Shania Twain's Grammy dress at the ACM Honors, where she paid tribute to Twain by singing her biggest song, "Man, I Feel Like A Woman."

Also, this month (9/23), she will be releasing a new album called 'Subject To Change' featuring her current hit single, "Heartfirst."

As we celebrate all things, Kelsea today, we look at 12 of her biggest songs that made her the budding country superstar she is today.
