I wonder if there has ever been a book detailing what items surgeons have found in the human body? If not, let the first chapter begin with the topic of “batteries.”

According to LiveScience, a 66 year-old Irish woman went to the doctor complaining of pain in her abdominal area. X-rays were ordered and discovered some type of foreign body lodged in her stomach.

Doctors discovered the woman had ingested 55 AA and AAA batteries, according to a paper released to the Irish Medical Journal. (Photos of the x-ray and the batteries are in that link. You have to check them out!)

Experts think this may hold the record for batteries discovered inside of one’s body.

And now the fun part: How did she get them out?! Well, they made her pass some of them, uh, normally. Five of the batteries made it through the system via general No. 2 methods. When none of the other ones wanted to make their escape, doctors turned to surgical methods.

The headline here would make anyone scratch their head. "Massive Family Fight Over Unmarked Takeout".

Recently in Florida, a family of four - two parents and two adult children in their 20's - ordered Chinese takeout. Unfortunately, their food was unmarked. And it pretty much all went downhill from there. The Smoking Gun has a great report on it here.

Long story, but basically the son ate the dad's food, and dad wasn't happy and things got violent.

The son unknowingly ate the father's food, which sent the father and daughter in a rage. I'm talking punching, chokeholds, the whole nine yards! The mom finally called 911, and the father and daughter were arrested and charged with misdemeanor and domestic battery.
