Their Story: The Big 95.7 KML and our listeners are giving back to our community this holiday season. Listeners have nominated families they know who are in need this year. Our fourth family this season is Kristy Locklear, nominated by her aunt, Tammy Cheek, and this is Kristy’s story:

“Kristy is my niece and she is 27 years old. She had a brain stroke December 2021, and on top of that her sister was killed in 2019, and had 3 girls. My niece is raising the girls, along with her son, and the only financial support that she gets is her sisters’ Social Security for the girls. Since she had her stroke she has not been able to work, and anything that can be given to help her she would really appreciate it.”

Kristy Locklear will receive a $500 gift card from Black River Entertainment, and a $100 gift card from Foust Heating and Air Conditioning. We have organized this GoFundMe campaign to help with additional expenses, and your support will directly go to Kristy Locklear.

Travel + Leisure recently put together a list of the best Christmas towns in the U.S. Included in there is a somewhat surprising coastal city right here in North Carolina.
