Garth Brooks Is Plotting Vegas Show As He Drives Around His Farm
Last night on Studio G (12/12), Garth Brooks told his fans that he’s been thinking about his “Garth Brooks Plus One” Las Vegas residency and the one-man show he is plotting.
The residency begins in the Spring of 2023, and Garth said, “Started working on it Saturday. Was driving around the farm, and it just started. And you can’t – you never can judge when these things happen. And you can push yourself as you did in college – wait till the last second to start crammin’ – and then something will come to you!” He added, “And it sure enough started. So, I’m really looking forward to this, startin’ to see it in my head, gettin’ excited!”
Tickets for all 27 performances of “Garth Brooks/Plus ONE” in 2023 sold out the day they went on sale. Dates and ticket info for the additional 2024 shows have yet to be announced, and will likely come down the pike as the start of his 2023 performances draws near.
Meanwhile, Brooks just released a new collection, Anthology II: The Next Five Years and work is continuing on the new Nashville entertainment venue, his “Friends in Low Places” honky-tonk bar, which he has under construction.
Last month, Garth announced a new headlining Las Vegas residency, “Garth Brooks/Plus ONE,” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning in 2023. He said on Good Morning America, “We’re calling it the ‘Plus ONE’ because we’re going to try something we’ve never tried before. The band is coming, but it’s a one-man show. They’re going to sit in the audience, so any time you want a fiddle just to come up and join you, any time you just want percussion and background to come up and sing, or it’s just you — or just bring the whole band up to do ‘Friends in Low Places’ — this should be stupid.”
