NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 16: Stephen "tWitch" Boss attends 2022 Fox Upfront on May 16, 2022 in New York City.

Stephen Boss, best known as DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss from Ellen Degeneres’ talk show Ellen, has died according to TMZ.

The tabloid reports that law enforcement officials say Stephen’s wife, Allison Holker, went to LAPD Tuesday (Dec. 13) because she said Stephen had left home without his car, which wasn’t something he’d normally do. According to the outlet, shortly after Holker’s report, police got a call for a shooting at an L.A. hotel and they found Stephen there, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Stephen began working for Ellen in 2014 up until the show ended in 2022. The host made him an executive producer on the show in 2020.

Before working with Ellen, Stephen rose to fame by competing in the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2008 which he was a runner-up.
